About the Job

An opportunity has surfaced with a long-standing medical devices company with an extensive portfolio in Surgical Instruments. They are seeking a tenacious and driven Territory Manager to take on the responsibility of developing new business and maintaining sales levels, by effective account management across the South East and London. The role will be working with key customers including Ophthalmic Surgeons and Ophthalmologists, ENT Surgeons, Neuro Surgeons, Operating Theatre Management, Clinical Leads, Procurement Departments and Decontamination Units.

Role Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement actions to achieve company targets.
  • Negotiate (within guidelines) prices, discounts and terms to ensure the best deals are secured and that expense spending is within the agreed budget.
  • Evaluate monthly sales figures for account growth and trends.
  • Influence and negotiate with a clear commercial focus.
  • Share best practice on market access initiatives with marketing team.
  • Work closely with International Sales Manager, Managing Director and Office Management to optimise business opportunities and results.
  • Maintain and excellent level of knowledge and understanding of all Company products.
  • Maintain good level of understanding of competitor products and industry trends through networking and the web.
  • Time management and journey planning to ensure adequate call rates are maintained for effective region coverage.
  • Be the primary source of local knowledge and market intelligence within the region.
  • To undertake any such reasonable additional tasks as are deemed necessary to fulfil the role.
  • To be aware of the Company’s Health and Safety Policy to ensure that any hazards and/or accidents are reported to a Health and Safety representative as appropriate and to be aware of safety issues throughout the company.
