Key Account Manager - Diabetes - North East
Salary: Above average salary + excellent bonus/benefitsEvolve Selection are currently recruiting for an exciting new opportunity with a blue chip Pharmaceutical organisation. Our client has an extensive product range within the Diabetes market. This exciting role will be working as a Key Account Manager across the North East, which will include Darlington, Durham, Sunderland, North & South Tyneside and North East Northumberland. In this role, you will work as part of a cross functional team selling to Key Customers, predominantly across Secondary Care with elements of CCG working, as defined by the Business Manager according to the local business needs at a given time.
Current key account management experience.
Proven track record of sales & business management success gained within a Pharmaceutical industry or NHS role.
A proven track record in influencing the prescribing decision making process across Secondary Care is ideal, however candidates with extensive experience of working across Primary Care, who have gained formulary inclusions on territory may be considered.
Current knowledge and experience of the territory and customers is preferred, but not essential.
Diabetes experience is preferred but not essential.
Experience of influencing successfully in a complex organisation.
Educated to degree level or equivalent preferably business/commercial related degree, preferably with a Wellard's Diploma or equivalent.
Full driving licence.
Contribute to effective account plans that will deliver against both customer and local objectives.
Successfully promote the benefits of your brands, using the appropriate promotional mix.
Skillfully and appropriately use the range of promotional tools developed for your customers.
Identify and develop emerging customers who will influence sales.
Maintain up to date customer database.
Accurate and timely recording of sales related activity.
Develop a level of expertise and knowledge in your therapy area that makes you a respected expert with NHS customers and colleagues.
Use your insight into the local NHS and therapy area expertise to provide the Management team with the knowledge they need to maximise the relevance of your brand for every customer.
Identify opportunities and strategies to improve positioning of the products in protocols, formularies and local guidelines.
Implement plans to deliver against identified opportunities.
Advocacy - Work to develop key customers in line with brand strategy and as part of the local account plan.
Promote brands to key decision makers with the formulary/guideline/protocol appropriately.
Ensure the products are optimally utilised in line with national/local guidelines and the product licence.
