Constructing the perfect CV for a Pharmaceutical job

Constructing the perfect CV for Pharmaceutical jobs

Constructing CVs for Pharmaceutical jobs

In the opinion of Evolve Selection, constructing a CV is basically a clear record of you and your career which you use to clear the first hurdle in your quest to build on your profession. Creating a CV properly is key to pharmaceutical recruitment and is your key to making your way to pharmaceutical sales success.

The factual aspects of your CV are of course rigid, however, the way in which you present them is not and can make a large difference in gaining interviews for Pharma jobs.

In essence, an interview is a straightforward event in which a candidate must answer a few basic questions. If I am a recruiting manager, these are some of the questions I would like answers to during the interview;

  • How applicable is your experience to the role I'm recruiting for?
  • If your experience is relevant enough for this pharmaceutical role and how successful have you been?
  • If you say you've done it well, what evidence can I see to prove this?
  •  Does this candidate meet the other criteria I have set for this appointment, eg geography, salary etc?

Your CV is the starting point to try and answer these questions. If a manager can quickly see that your experience is relevant and you have been successful, and in addition that you meet other criteria, you are likely to be invited to an interview. The emphasis here is on the ‘quickly.’ A manager will browse a plethora of CVs in the bid to form a shortlist. It may be that your CV contains the information to answer the above favourably, however, if it is not laid out to indicate this with a quick scan, you may lose out.
